For furniture makers who work to commission

Let your clients watch their piece being made.

Photos and notes from your bench become a private timeline under your workshop’s name. At handover, the piece gets a passport: maker, materials, care and warranty, one scan away.

The usual way

Good work, told badly

  • 01

    Updates scattered across chats

A photo on WhatsApp, a voice note on Instagram, an email with the date. The client pieces it together, or asks.

  • 02

The story stays in your camera roll

You photograph every stage. The client sees a few of them, and nobody can find them a year later.

  • 03

Care and warranty on a loose sheet

The finish needs looking after. The instructions go home on paper, or by word of mouth at the door.

What changes

Three things your clients will notice

01 / 03

They see the work, not just the wait

Log a stage at the bench in a couple of taps, even without signal. You decide what the client sees. They follow one private page and get an email when there is something new.

Every piece leaves with its story

At handover the piece gets a serial number and a passport page behind a QR code you can engrave. Timber and where it came from, the finish and how to care for it, the warranty and the maker.

Ground rules

Built the way you would build it

Data and privacy
Private by default
Nothing reaches your client until you publish it.
No names on passports
Owners appear as “Owner #1 since March 2026”, never by name.
No app for your client
A private link and email updates. That is all they need.
Works in the workshop
Offline capture, big buttons, millimetres or inches.

Furniture only

Made for furniture

Zurgina does one craft: furniture, cabinetry and joinery made to order. The stages, materials, finishes and care cards are written for wood, not adapted from a generic project tool.

For furniture makers
  • Stages from brief to handover

Design, timber, joinery, glue-up, finishing, delivery.

  • Timber, sheet, finish, hardware

Species, origin and drying, with where each fact comes from.

  • Care cards by finish

Oil, hardwax oil, lacquer, soap, wax or shellac.

  • Serials, QR and certificate

A permanent record for every piece that leaves the bench.

Questions

What makers ask first

What does it cost?+

It is free during the beta. Pricing will be announced before the beta ends, with notice for studios already using it.

Do my clients need an account or an app?+

No. They open a private link sent by email and can choose instant updates or a daily digest. You can revoke the link at any time.

Will my client see the mess and the mistakes?+

Only if you publish them. Every entry is private until you choose to share it, and you can share several at once at the end of the day.

What happens to my passports if I stop using Zurgina?+

You can export everything, including each passport as a self-contained web page you can host yourself.

Can I send quotes or take deposits?+

Not yet. Quotes, agreements and deposit payments are next on the roadmap. Payments will go straight to your own Stripe account.

Why the name Zurgina?+

Zurgina (zur·gi·na, with a hard g) is Basque for “the woodworker”: zur means wood, and -gin is the one who makes. We started with furniture makers, and the word says who our users are.
